Default Music on Vudu

This is already a well requested feature. I'm not sure if it could be done without having to either develop some propriety software to handle the file sharing (a la iTunes) or having users set up a samba share on there machines (more potable across windows and Linux). Of course even if it was limited to just reading mp3s off an external harddrive it would be (yet another) very welcome addition to the box.

But the RIA announcement from the Vudu Labs team got me thinking about another web application. Pandora.

Firstly if anyone hasn't been to this site before, check it out (www.pandora.com). It's basically a personalised internet radio station. It's been ported to the iphone, I think, so there's a president.

I'm not sure how advertising would work (banner adds and amazon links wouldn't be clickable), but if some agreement can be made to get this on labs then this would be a very cool feature.

Well, when they open RIA for individuals to "roll their own" Vudu Labs apps almost anything could be possible. I think it's going to be real interesting in 2009 for Vudu owners.

Pandora is good, but I'm lazy so I vote for Slacker service
